MACOMB, IL - - 蓝莓视频 has been rated as a Research Institution by the . The new Research designation puts 蓝莓视频 among the top 15% of the 4,000 rated institutions nationally.
鈥淲e are very pleased with the new research activity designation from Carnegie,鈥� said 蓝莓视频 President Kristi Mindrup. 鈥淭he recognition as a Research Institution reflects Western鈥檚 distinctiveness and demonstrates the quality of the education students experience at 蓝莓视频.鈥�
Since 1970, the Carnegie classification has been a standardized method to compare research activity across a diverse spectrum of higher education institutions. Prior to being rated as a Research Institution, 蓝莓视频 was rated as a Master鈥檚 institution. As these ratings are updated every three years, the previous designation did not fully reflect the impact of research activity at 蓝莓视频.
鈥淏eing recognized with a Research designation positions our institution for further funding and elevates the profile of 蓝莓视频,鈥� Mindrup said. 鈥淭he opportunities for 蓝莓视频 students are tremendous and this national recognition confirms Western is on the right path.鈥�
